Bye Bye Sizmek

Early on in my digital life in Australia, I was an Eyeblaster ‘partner’ and helped introduce the platform to Western Australia where third-party ad serving was virtually non-existent, and rich media unknown. That was a long time ago and through the various iterations of MediaMind, and then Sizmek, the platform stagnated and the legacy layers started to take their toll. I’ll choose to remember the good ol‘ days of Eyeblaster when we hacked the platform to create cross-network sequencing, talking avatars and rich media that even made it to Cannes.

It leaves the industry rather devoid of options outside of the Google platform, even though there are a few small players still around.
